Marika Gederte is the L&L program “Leader”, and about 22 years ago she realized her childhood dream and founded the International College of Cosmetology, which prepares beauty care specialists in cosmetology and high-level professional masseurs. Marika believes in life long learning and that is why even after having obtained a Master’s degree in business, she passionately continues to pursue her educational aspirations, by taking various lifelong learning courses at Oxford, Harvard and Yale University. It is her initiative to introduce the Learn & Lead courses in Latvia, and as per her foresight she believes that focus on new skills and methods can lead to high levels of work engagement and wellbeing of teaching & leadership.

Mudassir is the Learn & Lead program developer for International College of Cosmetology. He is also responsible for the international relation activities of the college. He has an MBA degree, and is currently doing his Ph.D. in pedagogy researching on interactive artificial intelligence supported learning & teaching methods.

Kristine Petersone lecturer of International College of Cosmetology form 2017. Master degree in entrepreneurship. Founder of Latvian Association of cryotherapy. Finding new approaches in productivity, healthy lifestyle with a balance of work and recovery.

Jana Chynoradska is the HARMONY Academy and “Learn & Lead” founder. She works as a trainer, mentor, coach and business consultant for various organizations internationally. She graduated from Comenius University, Faculty of Education, with a diploma in English language and literature, and a doctorate in English methodology i 2006. She upgraded her business studies at the Entrepreneurial University at IPA Slovakia in 2019.

Prof. Gabriela Lojová PhDr. works at the Department of English Language and Literature, Faculty of Education at Comenius University in Bratislava. She is a recognized expert in English language teaching and an author of several textbooks for teachers. Since 2001, she has worked at Harmony Academy as a professional supervisor of teacher education programs. Gabriela is a tenacious, responsive, supportive mentor to teachers and tutors who understand that their development is in their own hands and that they need to continually work on themselves, develop and grow professionally and personally.

Linda Polkowski, is a British and has 30 years’ experience of teaching international students at universities and language schools in the UK, as well as Japan and Iceland.
She is currently a teacher trainer and also tutor Masters in Business students at York University. She was the lead CLIL trainer for the Prolant Cap Erasmus project and is involved in the Prolant Cap Trainer Competency Framework. Since then, she has been delivering practical CLIL training in Slovakia and helping trainers and teachers to maximise their potential.

Vicki has over 10 years experience teaching English to business professionals in Europe, primarily in France. Through her previous career in technology and management she is ideally placed to understand their communication needs and business drivers. It is this blend of business and training skills that give her a strong edge in the professional English language marketplace.
Amongst her qualifications she has a CELTA, a DipTESOL (in progress) and an MBA.
